Privacy.

A short, plain statement of how this broadsheet handles reader data.

What is collected

The Egypt Pass is a non-commercial editorial publication. The site does not run advertising trackers, marketing pixels, behavioural analytics, retargeting cookies or any third-party identification scripts. No reader profile is built or sold.

Server logs

For routine operational stability and basic protection against network attacks, the web server temporarily records standard connection data: IP address, browser identifier, requested page, timestamp. These records are anonymised within thirty days and then removed automatically.

The correspondence form

When you submit a letter through the Contact page, the contents (name, email, subject, body) are forwarded as a standard email to the editor's mailbox. The submission is not stored in any database connected to the site, and is used solely to compose a reply.

Cookies

No persistent cookies are used to identify readers. The site sets no first-party tracking cookies; it does not engage with third-party cookies for advertising or analytics.

Fonts

The typography of this site is served by Google Fonts. When loading a page, your browser establishes a connection to Google's font CDN, which transmits the browser's IP address. This is standard for most contemporary websites; browser extensions that block such requests will work normally on the rest of the page.

Reader rights

Any reader who has corresponded with the editor may request deletion of their correspondence at any time. Such requests are honoured immediately.
